1. Who we are
SachiBhakti is a Hindi devotional website and app (online mandir darshan, puja-paath, Bhagavad Gita, bhajans, panchang, rashifal and related features), run by Rahul Gupta, India. Contact details are at the end of this page.
2. Using SachiBhakti without an account
Most of SachiBhakti works without logging in. To remember your activity on your own phone (for example today's दीप, जाप counts, your मनोकामना, bookmarks and colouring), we store a random device identifier in a cookie on your device. It does not contain your name, phone number or contact list. Some preferences (sound on/off, chosen city, chosen rashi, selected photos for नज़र उतारें) are kept only in your browser's storage.
3. Information we collect
- Login (optional): if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. If you sign in with Truecaller, we receive your name and phone number from Truecaller.
- Bhakti profile (optional): the display name, username and photo you choose, and the status images you publish. Published statuses and your public profile page can be seen by others.
- Photos for नज़र उतारें (optional): if you are logged in, photos you add are stored privately on our server and shown only to you. If you are not logged in, they stay only on your device.
- Activity on the site: devotional actions you take (for example दीप lit, जाप rounds, paath read, bhajan played, prayers for a मनोकामना), counted per device or account and shown as totals.
- Kundli / Kundli milan (optional, login needed): the name, date, time and place of birth you enter, to calculate the chart.
- Location you choose: the city you pick for panchang and choghadiya. We do not use your phone's GPS location.
- Daily reminder (optional): if you allow notifications, a notification token from your browser/app, linked to your device identifier (and account, if logged in), so we can send the morning reminder.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device type and pages visited, used for security, preventing abuse and understanding which pages are used.
- Messages you send us: if you contact us on WhatsApp or email (for example for चरणों में नाम), we receive what you send, such as the name and photo you want shown.
4. Why we use it
- To run the features you use and remember your progress.
- To show community totals (for example how many दीप were lit), which never show who did what.
- To send the daily morning reminder, only if you turned it on.
- To keep the service safe, stop spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve them.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show advertisements.
5. Services we use
Some features rely on trusted outside services, which receive only what is needed for that feature:
- Google – Google sign-in, Google Analytics (usage statistics), Firebase Cloud Messaging (delivering reminders) and Google's speech service (turning paath text into audio; no personal data is sent).
- Truecaller – Truecaller sign-in, if you choose it.
- FreeAstroAPI – calculating panchang, rashifal and kundli; for kundli it receives the birth details you entered.
- LocationIQ – searching for a city name you type.
- YouTube – live mandir darshan videos are YouTube videos shown on our pages; YouTube's own policies apply to them.
- Cloudflare – delivers and protects the website.
- WhatsApp – only when you choose to share something or contact us.
The Android app opens the website inside your phone's browser (Chrome), so your browser's own settings and Google's policies also apply there.
6. How long we keep it
- The device identifier cookie stays until you clear your browser data.
- Account and profile information stays until you ask us to delete it.
- Notification tokens are removed when you turn reminders off, block notifications or the token stops working.
- Daily activity counts are kept as totals to show community numbers.
7. Your choices and deleting your data
- You can use SachiBhakti without logging in, and log out any time from the profile menu.
- You can turn the morning reminder off in the profile menu or in your phone/browser settings.
- Logged-in users can delete their नज़र photos and published statuses themselves.
- To delete your account and everything linked to it, email or WhatsApp us from the contact below with the email or phone number you signed in with. We will delete it within 30 days.
- Clearing your browser data removes the device identifier and the data stored only on your device.
8. Children
SachiBhakti is a devotional service for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The website and app use HTTPS. Private photos are stored outside public access and shown only to their owner. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
